We're experienced child protection professionals committed to achieving the best solutions for families, children and young people.

We provide comprehensive child protection assessments and family connection facilitation. Our expertise allows us to consult directly with sector agencies and organisations on the development of their own child safety practice and policies.

Our practice serves the belief that every child needs an anchor—one person to provide safety, stability and consistency that support children and young people achieve best outcomes, achieve relational permanency and live their best lives.

We believe a strong sense of wellbeing is fundamentally connected to children’s sense of belonging, being and becoming.

Our Team

Founding Partners Danielle Kokaev and Karen Milne

Danielle and Karen apply their wealth of Child Protection knowledge and experience in Queensland to each engagement.

Together they bring over 38 years of shared practice knowledge, as well as established working relationships with Child Safety staff, NGOs and communities across Queensland and within Cape York and the Torres Strait.

Danielle and Karen are driven by their lived experience working frontline and alongside Queenslands most vulnerable children, young people and families. They apply a culturally sensitive, trauma informed approach to practice operating from a client-centred, strength-based, solution-focused practice framework that allows their passion for this work to shine. It is this passion, tenacity and drive that enables them to move differently, making a difference proven to support and influence positive change that improves the lives of children and families.
